Welcome to the Youth Music Tour,

The international educational project Youth Music Tour, organized annually since 2011 by the ex post – Association for Intercultural and International Exchange, offers young musicians a challenging masterclass program in the summer. Participants have the opportunity to attend concerts at the Vienna Musikverein and visit exhibitions, which encourages a deeper engagement with music.

As part of the program, all participants receive personalized individual lessons, chamber music instruction, ensemble rehearsals, and various thematic workshops. This promotes comprehensive and practical education. The final concert of the masterclass takes place in the Ehrbar Saal, the small golden hall in Vienna.

The instructors of the program include experienced teachers from international music conservatories as well as professors from renowned music institutions, who provide participants with valuable insights into music education.

We wish all participants a successful and enriching experience and much success in their participation.

Best regards,

Ehrbar Hall

The Palais Ehrbar was built in 1876/77 by Josef Weninger in the strict historicist style for the piano manufacturer Friedrich Ehrbar.

The two-storey large concert hall, also known as the Ehrbar Hall, was built by Julius Schrittwieser in 1877 and is divided by Corinthian giant pilasters and candelabra columns. On the façade between the herm pilasters is a portrait medallion of Emperor Franz Josef. A wide variety of best-known musicians and artists have performed in this concert hall, including Johannes Brahms, Anton Bruckner, Max Reger, Pietro Mascagni, Josef Helmesberger, Ignaz Brüll, Joseph Joachim, Anton Rubinstein and Gustav Mahler, who also premiered numerous compositions there.
